8462m Makalu Expedition

Makalu is the fifth highest mountain in the world rising 8,463 meters above sea level. It is  an isolated peak located just 14 miles east of Mt Everest. Its impressive structure of a perfect pyramid with four sharp ridges makes this mountain all the more spectacular. It is also known as Makalufeng. It is located in 275323’N latitude and 8756’35”E longitude. April late September and  October are the  best climbing Months It was first climbed in 1955 by J.Franco of the  French expeditions to Makalu start from Hille of Dhankuta Thumlingtar.

  • B&B accommodation in Kathmandu at a 3 star hotel on a twin-share basis
