Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu airport and you will be transferred to the hotel

Day 02: Visit Swoyambunath and Patan: start our tour visiting Swoyambunath, a magnificent Buddhist stupa located on a high hill which is just 10 minutes drive from Thamel followed by a visit of Patan, a true open air museum with its pagodas, temples, and monasteries.

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1460m)

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu airport and you will be transferred to the hotel by one of our representatives. Welcome dinner at one of the traditional Nepali restaurants in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Visit Swoyambunath and Patan: start our tour visiting Swoyambunath, a magnificent Buddhist stupa located on a high hill which is just 10 minutes drive from Thamel followed by a visit of Patan, a true open air museum with its pagodas, temples, and monasteries.

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1460m): we start our tour with early morning drive; we drive through Dhunche which is a small town and headquarter of the Rasuwa district. On the way to Dhunche, a panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks including Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and several other peaks of the Langtang region can be seen.

Day 4: Trek Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2238m): start our trek with steady climb for about an hour and half to the view point; a panoramic view of the Ganesh Himal, Gosainkunda and Langtang range along with the view of Goljung valley can be seen from this view point. Then, a short and easy trek down to Goljung where we stop for lunch followed by enjoyable walk to traditional Tamang village Gatlang.

Day 5: Trek Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m): we start our day descending to Thambuchet, near by a well known Chilime Hydro project dam. Then the trail climbs steadily to Tatopani. It is a long but enjoyable climb all the way to Tatopani. Tatopani; literally means ‘Hot water’, named after a natural hot spring where you can bathe in the afternoon.

Day 6: Trek Tatopani to Thuman (2338m) via Nagthali (3165m): as we continue our trek, we climb to Brimdang where we stop for the lunch and continue our climb to Nagthali (3165m); highest point of the trek. We can enjoy the view of Ganesh Himal and Langtang range along with the visit of Gompa in Nagthali. Then we trek down to Thuman; a Tibetan influenced Tamang village. We can visit a traditional monastery in the afternoon.

Day 7: Trek Thuman to Timure (1762m): we continue our trek slowly towards Tibetan border taking ancient salt trade route. It is fairly easy trek taking about 4 hours. In the afternoon, we hike to Rasuwagadhi; a historical trading town of Nepalese and Tibetan traders in medieval period.

Day 8: Trek Timure to Briddim (2229m): as we start our day, we retrace our previous day’s track half way and head to south east to Briddim via Lingling. Briddim is also highly influenced by Tibetan culture and becoming really popular for home stay trips. Usually, local gathers in the evening and perform their traditional dance and rituals.

Day 9: Trek Briddim to Syabrubesi (1460m): today we trek back to Syabrubesi following Bhote Koshi. It is fairly easy and short trek taking about 5 hours.

Day 10: Drive Sybrubesi to Kathmandu (1334m): a scenic drive back to Kathmandu for about 8 hours.Driving Time: 8 hours

Day 11: Visit Bhaktapur: drive for an hour to visit an ancient city, Bhaktapur. It is one of the oldest cities of Kathmandu valley.
